Enjoying a nice highway

There was a time I was driving in Freeway 105 in California (also called the Interstate 105), it was a very nice highway with asphalt surface, wide lanes and few vehicles. I was on the steering and my cousin was beside me, telling stories. We were on our way to San Francisco from Los Angeles, a good 8 hours drive. And since the highway was great, I didn't notice that I was already running 100 mph. That's overspeeding huh. But fortunately, there were no patrols around and I had to reign in my speed to the maximum 85 mph. With roads like that, it's a pleasure for a road trip.

It is always good to have such good highways. Here we don't having that good highways but still in compare to past things have been improved lot. For some parts of countries we having good highways too. Hope it will be more improve in near future. But speeding that much is quite hard here as too much traffic on highways.

I agree with you although generally speaking you have far better highways in your state. As far we are concerned we have number of super highways coming up in our area but when I look at the toll charges it makes me shiver. For traveling a short distance you have to shell out as much money as the cost of petrol or even more in some cases besides a lot of time wasted on each toll barrier. I would much prefer auto deduction of toll from my account rather than waiting for 20-40 minutes on each toll-post.

It would have been an awesome experience. When we go to our hometown for the vacation my dad would drive in 90mph which is the maximum for our highway. This will be comfortable for us to sit but my mom would freak out. Going in hat speed with an awesome road will be so amazing.

Driving on a good road is always such a bliss. Nice asphalt road with greenery all along the driveway is nothing less than a heavenly feeling. I enjoy long drives on such highways especially when the weather is pleasant.
