A long convoy

Have you traveled with a long convoy? Some 2 weeks ago, I was in a convoy in going to the nearby province that would take about 2 hours of travel. At the start of the trip, all 20 vehicles were in line. I was the last in the convoy and it is comfortable for me since all I do is to look at the vehicle ahead of me. After an hour of travel, I didn't know that the convoy had already broken and only our car and the car ahead of us are running good. All the rest were either way ahead and some fell on the wayside.

My dad has once traveled in a convoy as he is working in the defense industries. He said it was a half an hour to some secured place where normal people aren't allowed and so he traveled along with heavily armed forces in behind and ahead of his convoy. He said it was quite an experience and said he would love to travel another time if he has the chance. It is good to hear that you enjoyed your trip @Alexandoy.

I have not experienced traveling in a convoy but it sounds quite exciting. I have noticed many times that some groups are traveling in a convoy when I am in the high way and there are cars in a line following each other. It reminds me of one time when two of of my uncles took each of their own cars and my dad too and they followed each other to a far away fair we went for the first time. It was fun trying not to lose each other.

No I haven't travel on such a long convoy as to having as much as 20 vehicles on the road at same time. I have traveled with two and three vehicles same time I hope that qualifies as a short convoy. I will be interested to have a feel of how it looks like having a journey with so many cars as convoy.

I've had several opportunities to travel in a group like this, but I've never felt so comfortable with that idea. So I've never actually traveled, even though I've tried. I prefer smaller groups because I feel more at ease in being with them and I can take advantage of the trip in an appropriate way.

I was having same thought if the convoy is all that long somehow the journey wouldn't interest. It may things look unnecessarily slow on the way. What of their is a breakdown of one of the vehicle that experience will be tough.

The whole idea seems very uninteresting to me because -
among many other reasons - you often don't even know the people who are present (this makes me uncomfortable). I prefer to do it alone or in small groups, preferably with my friends or colleagues.
Some friends of mine say that sometimes I look a bit selfish

, but I do not care.

I prefer a shorter convoy or group travel where we get to understand ourselves better. This is especially so since we travel in small number. Long convoy sometimes may not make things as snappy as I would have wanted.
