Climbing a peak with no gear

This is a crazy idea but I know of some young people who are doing the challenge. They would be climbing a mountain side by side with a group having complete gear while their group had nothing. They say that it is a big challenge and it gives them a high when they finally reach the summit. I'd say that's crazy.

Hi, Alexandoy yes that's crazy, but maybe they chose some easiest mountains to climb on because this can be done if you chose an easy mountain you may climb without a gear. Some easy mountains to climb are Mount Fuji, one of the most-climbed mountains in the world, Pikes Peak, the Dolomites’ Tofana di Rozes,the Mount Hood, etc.

That is crazy, I wouldn't do it even if they paid me it is just too dangerous. I am sure they were lucky to make it through as equipment is for sure needed always. This is a crazy challenge like many others I have seen trending where tragedies have happened.

That depends on what level they are climbing from sea or what is the difficulty level. In general anything beyond 6000 meter is almost impossible without proper equipment or climbing gear. Climbing higher than that would even require oxygen or breathing support. So I assume that these groups are doing this climbing for the sake of fun under 5k meter.
