It's normal for many people to have their favorite brands for many things, but I don't think I fit into that group.

Talking about bikes, I particularly have no favorite bicycle brand. I only worry about the quality of the product I intend to buy / am using. This is the most important thing in my opinion. A name doesn't say anything unless the product offers the quality.

What do you think about it?

I too don't have a particular favorite brand and all but my brother's all time favorite bike is the KTM Duke. He loves that bike so much he works really hard to buy it and that too only from his savings.

I'm pretty sure that everything we buy after much sacrifice and a lot of savings always becomes special for us. I can say that because that's exactly how I feel about my car (almost 5 years of saving). It's almost like a love that can't be explained through words (and I'm very jealous of it ).

I really don't, but at the same time I know the ones that I can consider and the types that I am looking for. I am not the biggest biker out there though, so my pickiness goes to the other products like tents.

I am in the category of those who aren't concern about a particular brand when buying bike. What matters to me it should be a modern bike and meet the expected functions and power of a standard bike.

There are number of goood brands here but I have an Avanti Road. In fact almost all good brands available here are almost the same but I got this one at almost a throwaway price at gum tree. I was looking for a Kona bike but settled for this one as it cost me only $450

I don't have a favorite type of bike brand instead II look for a good model for a bike rather than the brand. If I find a great looking and safe bike at a good price I will take it. Brands don't catch my attention much for anything it all comes down to taste of a person.

I also do not have a particular favourite brand. I think as long as a bike has all the specifications and is comfortable, I'd ride it. When I was in high school, there was this brand of mountain bikes called BMF that everyone wanted. They were cool and if you owned one it showed a sense of sophistication. In simple terms, they were mostly for show off. However, these days any brand is fine with me.

That's what I'm talking about... I think that's the spirit.

If you can afford a branded bicycle (which is usually something expensive), I don't see problem with that... But what can't perpetuate is that obsession that many people have in using only branded products. Quality is not associated with a name.

I can ride any good bike without giving a much thoughts about brands. Brands could be far more expensive that's not the point in my own case. I am just good to go on a ride with any bike strong enough not to disappoint or breakdown during the riding actions for reasonable period of time.
