Leisurely walk for a trek

What I understand with trekking is walking in the forest or in a place where there is no clear pathways. But how about a leisurely walk? There was a time that my wife and I were invited to a wedding held in the forested mountain. We had to walk 4 hours from the edge of the town. And that 4 hours is no joke so we preferred to walk leisurely with a matching conversation. When we reached the wedding venue, we were tired but not spent because we somehow enjoyed the long walk.

That is a long walk to get to a wedding but then again a good four hours spent with your wife which some couples might need. I have done this to get to a musium once since parking was too far because the near parking spaces were full. We didn't walk four hours but close to 2 hours but there was a lot of sight seeing in the way so it was fun. It also helped that I was with my family so I had someone to talk to.

I equally enjoy going on leisure walks especially in the evenings when the sun is low in the sky. What most people seem to forget is that its equally tiring and energy-consuming as trekking.
Unlike trekking, long walks also allow for interesting conversations when you walking in 2s or 3s. Especially, after a hard day's work in the office, one can go on a walk in the evening to stretch muscles and burn down some fats with a friend(s) or your spouse.

I live about an hour's walk from Queenstown New Zealand. About 3 times a week, my husband and I will either walk to town or to the nearby golf course for lunch. If we feel like it we might even walk home instead of taking the bus. We live on the edge of a lake that has a beautiful walkway going along it. The views are amazing and it's quite flat. The track is a dual use track for walking and for cycling. There are plenty of treks and hikes in Queenstown but this is our favorite.

I love to go for a leisure walk whenever I get a chance to do so. This is my most preferred work out. On top of that it helps me to relieve stress as well. But 4 hours of walk is pretty tough to handle in a single go, but I especially when you have a function to attend.

That's true walking is more enjoyable if you are not doing it alone whether for leisure or to an occasion. This reminds me back then in high school sometimes me and a friend or two would deliberately embark on trekking from school to home or to a function. Believe me such trekking many times is so sweet that we don't even know we have covered kilometers without being tired unlike if I was alone.
