I was staying in Gopeshwar town which is almost 35 km away from a place called Joshimath, base station of valley of flowers and Badrinath, Kedarnath etc. I went up the hills and returned late due to unexpected rain and missed my last bus and walked all the way to Gopeshwar. Luckily that was down the hill journey so I covered it in almost 6 hours. Incidentally, last stretch of 3-4 km from Chamoli to Gopeshwar was again a steep rise that was too tiresome.

So you are used to of it. That's really good. Here we too used to go for hiking where we walk up and down in forest. I remember one incident when we forgot the route during hiking and we have to spend whole night in the jungle with campfire (because we were worried about wild animals). That night we all couldn't able to sleep and we spent whole night by talking to each other. Next day early in the morning we again started finding route. Luckily at one spot we found mobile network and we saw the network using the internet. :D
