My last Camping
My last Camping
My last camp experience was quite interesting, it was a two-week period and was held in a remote strange location. It was a course we had to undergo. During the period at the camp we were giving some field training by the paramilitary. Training would start as early as 5am in the morning and go for about two hours, then afternoon and evening it starts again by 1pm and 5pm respectively. After about a week we had our Camp Fire Night. It was a night to remember as we made fire with all sorts of wood, the fire was thick and we had our play under the light from the fire until it finally went down. During the Camp Fire Night there were many attractions few of which, the Macho man and for the ladies, Big bold contests.

This thread is reminiscent of my boy scout years. But we haven’t experienced a 2-week camping period. That’s quite a long time. I think the longest camping I had joined was 5 days and it’s not in a remote town. When you mentioned Camp Fire Night, I agree that it’s the greatest highlight of camping. We usually present something on that night, be it a dance, song, skit or anything as long as to entertain each other. My last camping was just an overnight in the woods. But it was quite challenging because we brought along air guns for the goal of shooting birds that would be our meal. Truly, camping is lots of fun.
Re: My last Camping
Yes you are right @Alexandoy it's not common for a camp to last all that time. Actually the camping lasted even more than that, it was actually three weeks period, sponsored by the government and was part of an academic process. Part of the first week was registration and as expected some persons would have rigmarole trying to locate the place and that could have made stay a day or few late.

Re: My last Camping
My last camping experience was with my friends.
It was almost all very funny except the moment it was a little worrisome because there was a time when we missed a trail and we weren't hitting the place where we were going to camp. But we remained calm, and after the shock, it was only happiness (because the place was simply incredible).

That's what I have gathered about most camping held in far strange locations. If you were not arriving in groups, then there is high tendency for some campers to have had a tough time locating the venue. The interesting thing it all adds up to the fun
