Camping alone.
Re: Camping alone.
As many times as I have been camping I can honestly say I have never went by myself. We always camp as a family, and friends usually end up meeting us at times. Having a night of camping alone does sound relaxing though, it would help you get in touch with yourself and also your thoughts.

May be yes it would help you to get in touch with your self. But do you think it is safe? I mean I have never thought about camping alone. It is always with big group. Though I guess it is depend on place. Normally here we used to go to place which is surrounded by jungle or kind of place which is alone. So we can't think about going alone for such place.

When I was a teenager, over 20 years ago now
, I went camping alone a few times. I put all the gear in my bike (not motor bike) and I went to the adventure. It was time when I was breaking old habits, so it was liberating for me to do it. Of course, camping with family or friends is far more entertaining, but sometimes alone we end up seeing things from a different perspective.
I love most outdoor activities!

Camping alone....Oh My God. I must admit that you are a brave soul then. I always have some hidden fears when it comes to camping in a group and the thought of camping alone is simply out of question.
There are so many things that can happen while you are camping and if all alone then it becomes a matter of big concern.
While camping alone do you opt for nearby places or simply plan for anywhere?

I am planning for a camp alone and soon I will experience that unique feeling like you said. I always wanted to travel alone packing a backpack and see all of my favorite destinations. I have camped along with my family and that was a lot of fun too. I will definitely share my experience here
Re: Camping alone.
It's pretty much unique all right, better than staying stuck inside the house, but going with people we love or enjoy being around with is better. Recently I've been going with my kids and it's pretty rewarding to see them enjoying themselves, but I also had a good time when I went alone.

Re: Camping alone.
there's no way I would even imagine going camping alone. the thought of being alone in the wild at night with kayotes hollowing at the moon creeps me out.
am afraid of the dark even at home in my house.
I don't see how I can go camping alone unless it is in the backyard.

I agree that for a change, camping alone is one good option. However, my problem in being alone in a strange place is my fear of an accident or crime. Even in the woods, there can be loose criminals especially in the Philippines, there can be rebels who can do you harm. And what about if a snake bites you? Oh well, I may be on the negative side but that's my orientation - potential problem analysis. That's why camping alone is not my option anymore.
Re: Camping alone.
Nothing excites me more than camping does. However, camping alone is a no for me.You cannot have fun all by yourself. You need friends or family.Another thing is security. What if you encounter some danger and you are all alone?People will never know what happened to you.If its about alone time I'd rather take a walk at some park or upcountry.
Re: Camping alone.
I have never been camping and if I ever do I would have to make sure it's with a group of people specially if it's my first time doing so. I don't think I would ever be brave enough to go camping on my own, everything scares me and to be honest even living alone scares me. I guess it would be nice to have some days to reflect by ourselves but I just wouldn't be able to remain stress free thinking of all the dangers.
