A hike in Tasmania

Postby Alexandoy » Sat Mar 04, 2017 1:08 pm

I had seen a dcoumentary in Travel Channel this week about a hike in Tasmania. The hiker is a guy with a local guide. They had packed a loaf of bread and some onions to provide their meal in the 11-mile hike. The scenery was great because the forest is not crowded unlike the jungle that is scary. However, there are also insects that bite according to the documentary host so you’d better be prepared with your insect repellent. But I was kind of disappointed with their overnight stay in a cabin. All along I thought they would spend the night in a tent. But still, that hike looks good that even I as a senior can do it.

I still don't know Tasmania, but it sure is on my list. 8-)

I think it must be an amazing place to know. For everything I've read and seen on the internet (not counting the opinions of all my friends who have been there) I definitely must to go there at least once before dying.

Recently one of my friends came back from there and lately, he only knows how to talk about Tasmania all the time. It's kinda annoying sometimes!

Lol sounds like fun huh? I have heard very little about Tasmania but I don't see why a hut should dishearten the OP. Tent or hut for me it doesn't really matter.

Infact my very first climb had huts and it was super fun as we were many and had late night party. It was cold outside so the hut offered more warmth and comfort.
