For some parts of countries we having good highways too. Hope it will be more improve in near future. But speeding that much is quite hard here as too muc...

Re: One week road trip
One of my cousin went for such bike trip to leh and ladakh. They were having one spare driver and one car with them for providing all the stuff. They have completed many KMs in many days. I wonder how they do that, I mean I am surely not that comfortable for this much long drive. They are doing real...

Re: Hiking with lots of stuff
What you have checked is through main road but if you check the distance in between the places I have mentioned above would be little different. We walked 20-25 KM everyday because walking beyond that was not possible. Yes we walked close to 500 km in very difficult terrain. Google shows different ...

Re: Hiking with lots of stuff
I have walked for 18 days continually in Leh and Ladakh but that was in the past but I don't think I would be able to repeat that trip now because a trip like that would be too much for me now. I mostly do 2-3 days' trip now in easier but interesting areas with lots of stays on the way. I have just...

Re: Hiking with lots of stuff
Actually what I said was that I would carry anything which is absolutely must and avoid anything which I carry just for the sake of carrying that I may or may not need. I know what is must and what is a luxury on hiking trips because during a long walk especially in difficult terrains weight is an ...

Re: Hiking with lots of stuff
That sounds a nice idea but I am not the one that would not carry anything which is absolutely necessary. I generally go for longer hiking trips or in hilly areas where weight on your bag/back makes a great difference. Oh, yes I can do that if I am going for a professional trip and I have the facil...

Hiking with lots of stuff
Honestly I prefer to be light with very less items with me during hiking. More luggage will going to give trouble if route is long and hard enough. Just recently one new person joined us for hiking and what I noticed was he came with lots of item. Tablet, music player, snacks and few more. Well, sna...

Re: most memorable hiking adventure
We having big group here for hiking and we go for it many times. But the one experience I will never forget is when we went for hiking for one day and we lost in the jungle and we had spent night there with camp fire. At that day we climb many small hills to find the route but didn't get any success...

Re: Parking car on side of road for sight seeing
Well, in that case then I don't think it would be a good idea to park on the side of the road because it will definitely create a problem for other cars. I suppose you might be able to get away with it if it's a lonely road that isn't too busy. Yes, not all time roads are that busy. So yes I can ea...
