Camping Fears
Camping Fears
Whenever I go camping, sometimes I get certain fears, especially at night. I think I have watched many horror movies and most of them follow the same plot. A group of guys decide to go out camping, then at night, an awful creature comes to ambush them. Whenever I recall these type of movies when camping I feel like it will happen to us. At night I barely sleep especially when it's an outdoor camp. I love my life. Do you get such fear?
Re: Camping Fears
Yes I do get this feeling but not only when going camping but also just being out and about so late at night. My fear when going camping are mostly the wild animals that may go and attack us without any notice. And yes some other creepy creatures also come to mind like in the movies, the typical get attacked while your wandering around in the woods or mean while sleeping.

Re: Camping Fears
I am an experienced camper but I admit that sometimes scary thoughts bother me. But it's not much about weird creatures but more of humans who are criminals who would rob us or rebels who would kidnap us. Intruders like that usually kill their prey and only few victims were able to escape. That's why it is advised to bring along a gun when you go on camping.
Re: Camping Fears
I am enjoying reading your posts guys. I am a regular camper with experience of camping in different areas like jungles, on the river banks, at the sea beaches and hills. My most camping experience is in regular camping areas where people spent lot of time dancing and singing until late and then going to sleep in their own tents. I have never faced anything which was scary or made me afraid. However, I would not deny that I was always ready for an unexpected visit from a wild animal.

I feel exactly the same. I usually enjoy camping alone more than with other people. I also enjoy not known trails and campsites. I feel more connected to nature that way. Still, being a female camping alone in a lonely location is certainly scarier due to the human danger to me. Not that I'm not worried about wildlife, but the possibility of being attacked or robbed is just worse to me.
