I usually have no preference for speed, but I think it depends a lot on my mood at the moment.

Generally I prefer to ride more slowly so I can enjoy the places I'm going through (especially if I don't know the place yet and I definitely don't like to miss those great opportunities ).

Ride too fast often takes away from the excitement of the trip.

I suffer from motion sickness. So high speed usually leaves me nauseated and dizzy. Moreover I always prefer to enjoy the road and the surroundings while travelling . So high speed and speedy vehicles are definitely not my cup of tea in any case.

We have tracks which allow us to ride as fast as we can provided we follow the rules. I was walking around the cricket ground this morning and some of the bikers traveling at almost 50 km per hour but the biking tracks are so safe in this country that you have nothing to worry about. Here is what I captured this morning which should give you an idea of biking

Wow, that's looking quite good. Here I have never seen something like this. It looks quite safe this way.

About speeding, I mostly prefer to go slow as here not all people used to follow the rules. So even by their mistake we can face trouble anytime. So better not to go with high speed. Here with traffic, I guess managing vehicle at fast speed is hard (I am talking about high speed), so I prefer to go at medium speed around 80 to 90 KM per hours in car.

I don't have the need for speed, but I've ridden fast, especially downhill with the tent on the bike, lol, I was really fast and grabbing the bike as hard as I can to keep it under control, as the roads weren't the best at the time.

Even I don't see any need to speed while biking for fun but once I traveled almost 110 km up and down with one of my friends to another CBD. It took us almost 3 hours to cover that distance while going as it was drizzling a bit but it took us half hour lesser on our way back since it was not as sunny and the weather was clear otherwise. I think riding a bike at 20 km/hour is fair enough.

High speed on bike is always risky. I would never drive that fast for sure. I know some people do it for fun, but I always prefer to be safe first than fun. Though I used to have such fun during my college time, after that I have maintain my speed at medium level for all vehicles.

I like to ride fast in the past but one accident brought me back to earth and realized that speed thrills but kills. I was enjoying but after the accident, I am afraid of going at very high speeds. It is risky too. So, I always advise driving slowly because safety is first.

I am an advocate of the bike lane because we have no such lane in Metro Manila. The situation of bikers here is pathetic since they had to fight for space on the road which is conducive to accidents. And most accidents were caused by bikers running fast. When they lose control, you can imagine what would happen if there are speeding vehicles on the road. It's really a risk to bike in Metro Manila roads nowadays due to the usual heavy traffic.

Yeah, the whole goal is to travel the distance safely if we are commuting, and if we are riding just for fun it will be a matter of going at the speed we want, considering it's adequate for the (off)road we are in. Better have fun without getting hurt haha.
