Biking alone is risky
Biking alone is risky
For the bikers here, take note that biking alone involves some risk. First is the breakdown of the bike. What can you do if you are alone? When you have company then they can assist you in your needs especially if there are parts to be bought. And when there is an accident, your companions can truly be of help. But when you are biking alone, it would be a big problem when a snag occurs.

Yup. I agree with you @Alexandoy that biking alone is risky. Even with pre-prepared precautions and steps still, sometimes we can't avoid some circumstances. So it is always better to ride along with a companion for our safety also it will be much more interesting having a companion as we will have someone to talk to along the ride.

Thanks for telling us
I think it's a common problem in almost every part of the world including areas known for safety and lesser crime rate. I heard the only other day that a guy biking alone in the CBD was pushed and his backpack was snatched by a motorcycle rider. It's a rare case here but what I feel that the guy did it thinking that there was a laptop inside that bag but in fact there was nothing worthwhile in that bag. But it could have still happened if the biker had a companion with him. As far parts etc are concerned, one cannot keep everything with them but back in my country there is cycle repair shop every 500 meter or so.

Well anything that involves wondering into an unknown place where all of those risks are there and pretty high, you really want someone else to be with just in case something goes wrong. Biking is certainly there, so I would say just plan out the safest route if you must.

Re: Biking alone is risky
I think not just biking but any kind of sport that brings with it some kind of danger shouldn't be underestimated. Sometimes everyone needs time to be alone (this is normal and necessary) but the ideal is always to have a company (after all, you never know when you might suffer some kind of accident).

Yes, it is always good to have company when biking as you mentioned a partner can be of great help. Once in trouble you can have your partner help you with any bike problem or injury you may have. They may even go and buy anything if needed for an emergency that you may have forgotten and you get hurt. This can be for any sport or even a trip, that's why I always have someone with me.
